Let’s learn to fork Ethereum Mainnet locally with Hardhat. Then we’ll call functions on the Wrapped Ether contract and a Curve Finance pool contract.
Some decentralized applications like CurveFi don’t run on any Testnets. So the only way to test your code without wasting ether is to fork Ethereum Mainnet locally. And then run your code against that.
Forking Mainnet also allows you to test more complicated contract interactions that are not possible on a Testnet like Ropsten.
